If the GOP is so concerned about voting fraud, shouldn't their bills be targeted for increased security instead of limiting days, times, and places where people can vote?

Does this make sense to anyone except a transparent attempt to disenfranchise voters?

I was wondering about that.

Here in the red state of south Carolina we have extensive early voting. Why isn't anyone calling to eliminate it?

The difference is that you don't know how many votes you need to "harvest" before election day because the totals have not been reported.

This makes no sense.

I would submit that the GOP knows their days are numbered with fair elections.

Their only method to win now is to suppress the voters. Those working will find it difficult to vote when the polls close before they reach the end of waiting line.

And, of course, the absolute opposite is the truth. DemocRATS can only win by CHEATING, so now instead of Election DAY, they want Election SEASON.

Hogwash. The vast majority of the country does not want the crazy leftist stuff the current democrat party is selling. We have been down this road 100 times. After a democrat wins, the left starts saying GOP is done. Yet, they have always come back. With rising gas prices, and economy that will stutter and Biden adding 2 trillion to the deficit, the GOP will be fine.

Hard for millions to vote on one day, don't you think? Especially when the GOP closes election polling sites.

Texas closes hundreds of polling sites, making it harder for minorities to vote

It is all about this:

Many of the changes in the bill would predominantly affect larger, minority-heavy Democratic strongholds of the state, constituencies that helped President Biden narrowly defeat former President Donald Trump in the state last November, then boosted Democratic Sens. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in Georgia's January runoff elections. In recent months, many Republicans at the local, state and federal level have pushed false claims of election fraud, and lawmakers in Georgia have vowed to change laws in response.

If we go to strictly "Election Day" and there are long lines.....

the Republicans will accuse the democrats of "cheating" because somebody brought bottled water for the people standing in the lines. This is already an issue among Georgia Republicans.
