Given the corporate taxes received have declined for years, it would be hard to fathom overall taxes revenues going up as a result of the trump tax plan.

Yet, federal tax revenues increased in 2018 and 2109 (last full tax year, 2020's deadline isn't until April 15th, 2021)

Furthermore, as you're concerned about corporate taxes, here's what happened in 2019 due to the Trump tax cuts:

Receipts from corporate income taxes, the third-largest source of revenues, increased by $26 billion (or 12 percent) in 2019.

Comparatively, receipts from individual income taxes, the largest source of revenues, rose by $34 billion (or 2 percent).

The Trump tax cuts caused federal tax revenues to increase, they didn't decrease.

I wonder what percentage support our endless wars of choice that we also pay for?

I wonder what percentage support a military presence around the world of little benefit to the US that we also pay for?

I wonder what percentage support tax breaks for the wealthy and crumbs for the rest that we also pay for?

I wonder what percentage support corporate bailouts and nothing for working stiffs that we also pay for?
70% if the American people sincerely believe there is a magic money tree. I suppose you have your $13K check (the cost of this debacle for each and every American taxpayer) ready to go? Of course you don't. It's really easy spending someone else's money, isn't it?

Then there’s NYC, Miami, DC, LA, San Diego, Honolulu, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, etc that saw hotel occupancy rates plummet.

The going was so tough in Honolulu that hotels found it more cost effective to temporarily close than take PPP funds to keep the lights on.

Port cities receive substantial revenue from per cruise passenger port taxes. Tourism is the second largest employer in Alaska and most tourists arrive by cruise ship. Fort Lauderdale and Miami too have lost substantial income derived from port charges.

Given the goofiness of the Stimulus boondoggle, well why not help out cities that have budget shortfalls due to the pandemic?

Republicans are far less likely to qualify for a COVID check (direct deposit). Just take a look at any presidential election exit poll: 2020, 2016, 2012, etc., etc.

2020 results (National Election Pool/Edison Research:

Income under $50,000: +11 Democrat
Income over $100,000: +12 Republican

The above source is the Dept of the Treasury, as is the data I last posted that shows corporate taxes down 26% 2018 to 2019.

It looks like one of us is missing something...I'd sure like to know how the numbers were compiled.

Federal govt. tax revenues have grown every year since 2009.
https://www.thebalance.com/current-u...evenue-3305762
From 2014 to 2016 --- federal revenue rose by .25 trillion
From 2017 to 2019 - federal revenue rose by .14 trillion

OUCH --- not as big an increase -- uh oh.

There was no reduction in federal tax revenue. There was an increase after the Trump tax cuts, which is the opposite of what many are claiming.

Look at the chart you.posted. it's for October through February, only. Not a full year. That's where you're making your mistake.

I'm sorry, did the stimulus under trump not have pork?? I thought we all knew that this happens under both parties? Did some of this money go to more gender studies in other countries?
