Democrats are once again paying off the organizations that help them win elections with tax payer money.

It has nothing to do with Covid, mom and pop businesses or anything else.
Only about 10% of the US population has been vaccinated so far. I wouldn't be thinking that you can go at it as before yet. Lets wait and see what happens to Texas first.

Can you be a bit more specific?

Restaurants got the biggest share of direct help: $28.6 billion in grants for restaurants whose revenue fell in 2020 as a result of the pandemic.

The bill calls for grants equal to the amount of restaurants’ revenue losses, up to a maximum of $10 million per company and $5 million per location. Eligible companies cannot own more than 20 locations, and they can’t be publicly traded. The bill sets aside $5 billion for the smallest restaurants, those whose annual revenue is $500,000 or less.

Let's see...

$1.9tn - $28bn = $1.872tn

28/1900 = 1.5%

Where does the rest go?

Does that really matter when hundreds if not thousands of kids are getting trafficked and abused on the southern border because of Biden and the people aho voted for him? I hope your selfishness makes you happy while kids are crying themselves to sleep because of you.

This thread is celebrating America! Take your sourpuss deflection to the appropriate thread elsewhere.

I am happy to inform you that there is something in the bill for them also.

Quote:
SEC. 4008. HUMANITARIAN RELIEF.
In addition to amounts otherwise made available, there is appropriated to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for fiscal year 2021, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $110,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2025, for the emergency food and shelter program for the purposes of providing humanitarian relief to families and individuals encountered by the Department of Homeland Security.

So these people are not actually working, we’re saving jobs for people don’t work. I don’t think that counts. I am not sure I would be cheering for that.
