Trump had four years to come up with a policy; two years with a GOP Congress, but he did nothing. Of course there is a crisis since Biden is starting from scratch.

The bolded is an irrelevant point to bring up in context because that majority did not include a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.
Most making bogus asylum claims but they are being allowed in on Biden's watch anyway! We are over capacity handling these people at our border and yet they still keep coming. WTH is it with all of these unaccompanied minors crashing our border now to? Where the heck are their parents?
I'll never vote for Trump or anybody like him. But I'll readily admit that he did a better job of controlling the border than any president in my lifetime.
I wonder why Republicans can't find a decent human being to do that job?

Trump had a good policy. Securing the border with good physical barriers, stop promising amnesty and make these asylum seekers wait in Mexico until their cases could be heard in spite of the Democrats fighting him all the way.

Tackling the illegal immigration problem has been an issue that politicians on both sides of the aisle have been kicking down the road for decades. We finally had a President in Trump that admitted the problem and actually tried to do something about it. He tried to build a better wall and met push back from every angle. He made deals with Mexico that stopped "migrants" crossing their southern border and ours. This was working until Biden ripped it up. He made it tough on the cartels to smuggle people and drugs and today they are having a field day. Trump used the same "cages" that Obama/Biden built at the border and he was slammed for it. Biden is now using the same cages and the Left ignores it.
Trump was wiling to be "the bad guy" when it came to protecting America from the scourge of illegal immigration and the Left and some of the Right hated him for it.
Trump has every Right to blast old Joe because his approach to the border was working. What Biden is doing is clearly not.
I can't help but wonder if all the people that support open borders bother to pay when they go to places like Disney world or if they just hop the fence?
Whatever happened to Mexico paying for the wall? Or was that another line of BS from Trump?
