Sounds like the professor was simply concerned and wanted to brainstorm with a colleague about how to help her black students do better. Now she's branded a "reprehensible" racist, her career ruined permanently.
Purposefully let in students that don't have the academic merit due to their race getting preferential treatment (systemic racism?). The woke left then accuses the school of racism when the group underperforms academically. Point out that that group is more likely to struggle as a group average and get cancelled.
The woke left is a cancer tearing down both standards and accountability. There is a leftist push to remove grades and percentages because of racial equity. Apparently your percent on a math test doesn't measure your true contributions to the class and skills.

She was correctly pointing out that black students were the ones, in general, at the bottom of the class. That’s to be expected, given that most black students were admitted under “affirmative action” standards rather than the “white” standards.
Are we required to admit black students under lesser standards than whites and then pretend the ones admitted under those standards (about 2/3, on average) are not falling behind their peers?

What you are saying is dumb down the grading criteria? Sounds racists to me as in essence you are saying blacks can't make the grade.
As far as this professor's intention, the video is too short to get the context.
The entire schism lay around a disadvantaged segment of the population due to racism, history etc.
The statistics show that these issues create problems related to acheivment but racists have pushed it as an inherent and not driven by societal factors (racism) which makes it a dangerous topic.
This has created the dual reality where it is racist to deny that there is any disadvantage that harms performance and thus requires address and then a 180 degree flip where you're deemed racist for acknowledging that those that have received widened admission or whatnot are in any way lower performance AS A GROUP despite it being cited as an impact of racism (which it is.).
I guarantee you that this woman made the classic mistake of assuming she was *safe* because she voted the right way and had the correctly progressive views and that she wasn't racist so that she could freely address the above. I say this because if she had actual racist views she would have either been found out and blasted long before OR would be sneaky enough not to say this out loud. (I've met one or two like this over the years. )
It's fraught with peril to touch on this topic of magical transformation from disadvantaged (as a group) to completely cured of this disadvantage immediately upon admission to college.
