Funny how people forget people tried to "cancel" Eminem in the past with little affect on his career.

Back in 2001:

Eminem Protesters Few But Passionate - MTV

And here's what transpired:

What's your take? Are you supporting Shady's war against the "cancel culture" of Tik Tok?

This is a perfect example of how the religious right and uptight moms brigade (Tipper Gore was in on it too, wasn't just the Repubs), have morphed into the woke types with their own religious-like fervor of proper language and morality.

Older liberals tend to be pretty good on this topic. As scary as it sounds, 2nd place at this point is likely younger cons as they're not as religiously rooted as their older gen....followed by older cons and younger libs in dead last in terms of tolerance and openess to other views.

The only difference is that they justify their moral policing in different ways.

'Eminem' is just a 'fictional character'...his songs/lifestyle/beliefs are created to SELL (to make money).

At the end of the day, 'Eminem' goes home to a VERY NICE home and has a large bank account...'Eminem' is also making MILLIONS for the record companies, shareholders, etc.

The wokes and evangelicals are very similar.

Eminem needs to calab with Tom Mcdonald on cancel culture and wokeness.

It's representative of a larger issue.

Don't say this, don't say that...it's offensive.

You should have *these* views on gays or you're evil.

The comparisons between the evangelicals and the woke-sters are disturbing....but hey, give some people a little taste of power an a sense of righteousness that they are the moral authority and the results are ALWAYS predictable.

I thought that Elton John forgave him and by implication all performers in the genre back in the day? With the escalation of cancel nobody except those who married their arranged spouse without trying to date any other or made any public statement of any kind is safe from the mob.
