Good intentions that come out of academia end up becoming bad ideas and end up hurting the people who supposed to recieve equity, inclusion and representation. It's clear and simp that woke ideas out of academia do not work in the real world.
The fact that women fail the fitness tests at higher rates, proves that there is a cultural bias on that test that favors men. It should be replaced with a more unbiased physical fitness test that removes the sexism.
When that fails, the fitness test should be removed altogether in order to take a more holistic approach. For example, a woman can prove that she is fit enough by being a woman that applies to the military to begin with.
The test was new and was never implemented. The new test was supposed to begin in 2020 but was halted due to Covid.
The Leg Tuck, which requires one to hang from a bar while legs are tucked to the chin, seems the be the test with a disparity between male and females.

Initially years ago women had to do the same test as the men, but due to the test having a cultural bias that favored men, it was changed to a two system test.
We must treat people unequally in order to promote equality, so why not just keep the culturally biased test but add a free 15 pull ups, a free 30 push ups, etc to women taking the new test?

The reference for a test must be based on real life situations, not some social justice statistical quota.
cultural bias?????? no that would be physical differences. Sure, some women can pass and good for them. Obviously some men can't pass either.
