Who said they want the government to do anything?

Some people are upset by a cultural and moral decline as evidenced by an event that showcases a song and dance to a song like “WAP” ...

AND

...are upset by the hypocrisy of that same culture deeming Dr. Seuss and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head as offensive.

When pornography is celebrated and traditional marriage is denigrated, we as a society are moving in the wrong direction.

Well, given the right-wing reaction to the performance it's pretty clear that if she was trying to ruffle feathers, she was successful.

Well said.

I’m also concerned by some saying that this is female empowerment. As a woman, I don’t agree.

Amusing fact is, if you wanna be extremely controversial, all you have to do is publicly promote basic Christian values.
  • No sex until marriage.
  • No sex outside of marriage.
  • No non-heterosexual sex.
  • Men and women marrying is the only union recognized marital union before God.
  • Don't steal other people's stuff.
  • Don't kill other people for any reason.
  • Don't break the Sabbath. Go to Church, don't shop, don't do worldly things.
  • Don't take God's name in vain.
  • Don't envy, get jealous, nor covet other people's stuff.
  • Don't hate others who have more/better things than you.
  • Love god and love your neighbor.
  • Be kind to others even when they are unkind to you.
In today's world, if you want to kick over the proverbial anthill and see rage and fury come at you from all directions, take a stand for any of those things.

Judeo-Christian Conservatism is the new punk rock. It is the only thing that you are forbidden from talking about and there are some rather massive consequences if you do it anyways.
