Reactionaries have always hated the grammies. When I was a teenager, the conservatives were throwing a huge fit about Eminem. A few years later it was Lady Gaga. I'm also sure this is nothing new. When boomers were in their prime, their parents despised their rock music.
Some people will always view current pop culture as a sign of the destruction of society.
The Grammy's is aired at night and directed at adults.
Dr. Seuss books are geared toward toddlers to early elementary schoolers.
It's like comparing apples to a corned beef sandwich.
But the song is played daily. And do you think those parents who play that song don't let their children listen to it? It was the NUMBER 1 song on the hit list.
I mean, the last people that care about the eyes of a dr. seuss book are NOT the chinese published in 1937.

the supposedly racist depiction of a Chinese man in To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street involves an actual costume worn in parts of China at the time the book was published (1937), a bowl of rice, and chopsticks.

8pm eastern time is too late for kids?
Dr. Seuss books are tame. Singing a song on stage half naked about your wet #$&&@ on prime time television is not really a great decision on the part of the networks.
And this justifies the filth in the first post....... how?
Never mind. I know you won't have a sensible answer.
When did I say I was justifying something? Protest the private companies making those things if you don't like them. I certainly don't give them my money.
This isn't a "left vs right" issue. There isn't some 'evil cabal of people on the left wing' deciding what to cancel. This is the free market at work. This is an economic issue. It's bizarre this is being discussed in a political context.
The Grammys are a complete joke. Aside from the politics and wokeness they Didn’t give any respect to this little known guitarist who died last year. He just changed the way everyone plays a guitar , but hey he got mentioned for ten seconds in the montage.
Oh but Kobe got a 20minute introduction last year and he did absolutely Zero for music.
People have been getting in trouble over ******* since forever. Both the best and worst thing on earth. Inspiring and destructive. I'm 62 and my crazy ass girlfriend still gets her way because she's 10 years younger and hot af.

wet ass ***** song is celebrated by the culture by being broadcast on prime time regular TV, yet Dr. Seuss children's books are banned? i'm flabbergasted.
that 'song' is porn and shouldn't be on TV for children to hear.
.
You linked to a bunch of teen magazines. Hardly the same audience as Dr. Seuss.

Is this a trick question?
8 p.m. is later than my bedtime was when I was Dr. Seuss age. It's later than my niece and nephew's bedtimes. It's roughly the bedtime of friends who have elementary school kids. And if a child is watching TV that late, certainly the parents are monitoring what they're watching, right?
