There are a million duties pregnant women are excluded from in the military.
China will kick our ass easily while you all worry the military isn’t woke enough.
They should be recruiting the best, regardless of gender.
If there are gender specific roles, then recruit for those obviously.
Pregnancy though is a real thing, and it is a real issue that takes a woman out of being deployable, and it can happen numerous times over a 20 year career. That is something to take into consideration for readiness; can say a ship have half its crew pregnant and still deploy?
We should judge new female recruits on how efficiently they can kill people and break things; not their spiffy new haircuts and maternity flight suits.
For those interested in what Carlson actually said in context rather than through the lens of a dishonest media and the similarly dishonest (or dumb or lazy) people who circulate their BS rather than go straight to the source:
Master Gunnery Sgt. Scott Stalker, the top enlisted leader at U.S. Space Command, released a video message on Thursday denouncing “drama TV.” He urged soldiers to “get back to work” and “remember that those opinions were made by an individual who has never served a day in his life.”
“Thousands of women serve honorably every day around the globe,” tweeted Gen. Paul Funk, commanding officer of the Army Training and Doctrine Command. “They are beacons of freedom and they prove Carlson wrong through determination and dedication. We are fortunate they serve with us.”
Funk’s deputy, Lt. Gen. Ted Martin, posted a photo of his daughter in combat fatigues and said “contrary to what you may be hearing this WOMAN & 1000's of WOMEN like her are NOT ‘making a mockery of our military.’ ”
“You WISH your daughter was as AWESOME as MINE! so BACK OFF,” Martin added.
Oh so much ado about nothing. Flight suits and hair standards have always been ongoing-
However, the move to recruit and retain women is not new to Biden's administration. The Air Force started to look at maternity flight suits to better fit pregnant women during the Trump administration. Updated Army hair regulations were also finalized during the Trump administration, and the quest for better fitting body armor for women has been ongoing for years.
Looks like Tucker the frat boy has picked a fight he really can't win, lol.
What a idiot. I cannot understand why people think he is a good pundit when he says just downright stupid crap like this
Leftists like yourself and the previous commenter are so gullible it's frightening. Carlson WAS NOT arguing against women in the military. He was arguing against the "woke" culture that focuses intensely on completely irrelevant fringe issues like women's haircuts and specific body armor for pregnant women while completely ignoring the grave and severe military and economic threat China poses to us. Yet useful leftist idiots act like the big takeaway from his monologue is that he was making a sexist comment about women in the military. Y'all are incapable of even basic intellectual honesty that is clearly expressed in the video. You can't even be bothered to address the obvious point being made in the video. It is ALWAYS about misdirection on a point you can't argue. Such staggering dishonesty.
