1) I gave the first $600 -last December - to a needy single mother with three children
2) I plan to treat myself to a $300 pair of ADL shoes (hey, after the year we’ve been through, I deserve a splurge!)
3) I plan to donate $360 in my father’s memory to a charity important to him on his yartzheit in June
4) I plan to put the remainder in my Fidelity money market account

I feel this is well balanced - some to help others, some for me to enjoy, the rest to savings. You?
We were ineligible for the first two federal stimulations but since my wife was out of work for most of last year, we are now permitted a rebate to our earnings after it has been filtered through the bureaucracy. Except that I just filed my taxes today so I am unsure at the moment whether we will be federally stimulated in the next few weeks or as part of the rebate recovery in 2022.

Regardless, we earned it and will use it at our discretion while seeking every legal means possible to reduce our federal income tax burden going forward.

I love this tradition of honoring people who are meaningful to us.

I will do a little extra charitable giving myself. I give throughout the year, but some favorite charities are having some special initiatives right now, and the cat rescue I volunteer for could always use help.

Other than that, I hadn't planned anything. Maybe a new stove? I should sock it all away for retirement, but of course that's not the intent.

My city/county property taxes are due in April. The amount is about right, too.

Same, but with heating oil. Just filled up the tank for $378, and am hoping it will last to the end of the season. Joy.

It remains to be seen if I get a check. My second Economic Impact Payment was stolen. I am filling out a form now, normally used to claim a tax refund check that was stolen.
