No, Biden doesn’t work for Americans, he works for China and special interest groups.

Chao, according to the report, has boosted the company in China, whose government runs a bank that has loan commitments from the shipping company in the order of “hundreds of millions of dollars.”

The report said in addition to the shipping company, Chao’s family has other ties to official China, including board positions in state companies and a close relationship between Chao’s father and former Chinese President and Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Jiang Zemin.

The US is trying to punish Russia for Nordstream 2, when in fact it's Germany that should be punished.

Biden readying new sanctions on Russia over Nord Stream 2 pipeline -Politico

The US can't punish Germany because it'a an important ally, and sanctions couldn't even be considered.

Germany has already told the US that it won't be changing it's policies in many key areas despite US pressure to do so, and both of the main candidates to replace Merkel have an even more Pro -Russia and Pro China agenda, and Germany has developed a very different view of Putin's Russia and China, as well as differing foreign policy in relation to issues such as Huawei and the Syrian regime.

Merkel pushes EU-China investment deal over the finish line despite criticism - Politico

France could also become more Pro-Russia and more Anti-EU if Macron is replaced by Le Pen and with the UK out of the EU, the US has less influence in an EU increasingly run from Berlin and Paris.

How Le Pen may beat Macron - eu observer

In terms of US troops, the French ordered US forces to leave France in 1966, and there is widespread support in Germany in relation to US forces leaving.

Nearly half of Germans in favor of US military withdrawal: survey - DW (2020)

Although be under no illusion, the loss of bases such as Ramstein would significantly hit US global power projection.

Finally in terms of Russia, Biden had made it clear that he wanted to negotiate nuclear missile arms controls with Russia, however calling Putin names is hardly the way to kick off such difficult negotiations.

But that seems more than likely to remain Germany's fundamental approach regardless of whether it is Laschet or Söder who wins the race for the chancellery. Laschet recently described the West and China as "competing systems." He did not, however, rule out a role for Chinese tech giant Huawei in the construction of Germany's 5G telecom network — a position that leaves Washington seriously rankled.

Söder said last summer in an interview with German public broadcaster ZDF that "finding the right balance between interests and values seems to me to be the greatest challenge of German foreign policy in the coming years." It is not quite the hard line that Washington would wish for in dealings with Beijing and Moscow.

When it comes to dealing with the Kremlin, what is interesting is that both Laschet and Söder are opposed to American efforts to prevent completion of the controversial Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline linking Russia and Germany under the Baltic Sea. Laschet has also strongly condemned the reported poisoning attack on Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, but called for it to be diplomatically addressed separate from energy issues.

And then there was Söder's visit to Moscow a year ago: it was very much in the tradition of similar visits by earlier Bavarian state premiers who had no qualms in promoting a specific Bavarian-Russian trade agenda despite serious political differences.

Meanwhile, remarks apparently made by Laschet years ago could still catch up with him. Shortly after the Russian occupation of the Crimean Peninsula, he spoke of what he described as a "marketable anti-Putin populism." Of course, he said, the occupation was a "clear violation of international law." Nevertheless, he argued, if you have a diplomatic relationship with another country, it is important to "try and understand the world from the perspective of that partner."

In 2014, Laschet even went so far as to offer tentative praise for Russia's role in the Syrian war: "From the very beginning," he said, "Russia has warned about the danger posed by jihadists. Which many in Germany dismissed as propaganda."

He also expressed a degree of understanding for Syrian President Bashar Assad, arguing that before the Syrian uprising a certain amount of religious pluralism had been possible in the country. He also expressed the view that militant Islamism was more dangerous than the Assad regime.

Why get Russia angry for no reason?

Hmm. You prefer a president that sides with a geopolitical adversary vs our own Intel?

You prefer a president that shares internal voting polls with Russian Intel to launch a disinformation campaign to win an election?

You prefer an opaque president that has super secret side meetings with Putin and tears up the notes after?

You prefer a president that says nothing when Putin puts a bounty on our soldiers heads in the middle East?

Why anger Russia? Come on man.
They recalled their diplomat over a perceived but all to honest insult. Oh well.

A great way to hinder Russia would be to flood the market with gas and oil further tanking their economy. That remains their main source of hard currency.

I wonder how long it would take before Putin comes knocking with hat in hand after that?
His personal puppet is gone and there is a new sheriff in town. One that is not bowing or compromised. Long overdue.

I have no problem with Putin or the Russian people. I'll bet the majority of Americans feel the same.
Biden should shut his yap and not start up another cold or real war

Not sure why you believe that Biden works for China??? There is a new policy taking shape between China and the US. It is increasingly a more adversarial one. Here is an article from the NYT that may help you understand. Top US officials are meeting with their countparts today (3/18/21) for the first time since the Biden administration took over.

The commies are here now. What is your specific beef with Putin and/or Russians?
