She might even launch a public health campaign and call it “ Let’s Move” to encourage people to get off the couch.
I think it would be better if citizens started to refuse fast food restaurants to open in their cities, they are a HUGE contributor to this problem...
I can drive down the main part of my city, there is a McDonalds, Wendys, Taco bell, Pizza Hut, Burger king, within a 3 block area!!!! Do we really need THAT many fast food restaurants in a small city? lol
Wants to be fat? Very few. Dont give a damn that they are fat? Most fat people. They may care at some level but absolutely lack any resolve to act on it and stick to it. Most fat people didnt get that way because they really cared and were determined to do something about it. They basically accepted it and live with it.
Just like the smokers who won't quit because they think it's too hard. It's hard, but millions have done it.
Add that most primary care physicians aren't experts on nutrition, and consulting with a nutritionist isn't always possible through health insurance. Therapy isn't generous on most health care plans, either, and therapy is essential for people who are emotional eaters.
Most of it is common sense and easy. Just getting into good habits. Nutrition information can be found online. Replace bad habits with good.

But they wont because its a big part of our hurry up, on the run life style. No time to fix breakfast, swing by the Burger King drive thru, nothing to fix for lunch, McD's drive thru. Kids have ball games, not time to cook, drive thru. Skipped supper and its now 11pm, taco bell open 24/7.
Changing lifelong eating habits is not easy. Making life style changes is not easy especially if you have more than yourself to consider.
Sure it may not be "easy", but that's not an excuse for being unhealthy. The vast majority of obese people can do something about it. They just don't. Pretending obesity can be healthy is not helping.
Let's not pick on people because of Weight. I'm underweight. But I know people who are heavy, that are healthy.
JC, what does this have to do with Politics?? Nothing.
That’s an oxymoron. Nothing about heavy equates to healthy, nothing.
I’m guessing now we are expected to go along with fat people making us accept the fact that their healthy. I would more expect people to try and be healthy over trying to work full time.
Actually it probably didnt. All those additives and flavorings, sugar, salt are what makes food taste good to us.
Or they didn’t have the seasonings and herbs we have now or at least in the western world. They make food delish without the fake flavorings and to much salt. I prefer a homemade hamburger, homemade fries, and fried chicken made by someone other than me. Baked chicken or grilled, salmon grilled or baked in homemade lemon basil sauce , roasted or grilled vegetables.
