If I have to wear a shirt in the summer when men can run around topless, then I can wear a mask.
Imagine thinking being asked to wear a mask has any impact on your freedoms. I'd much rather be barefoot but you don't see me crying about having to wear shoes to enter a public space. What a bunch of big babies.
there are health problems from masks. I don't complain about shirts and shoes. if you believed there were health problems from them you would not wear them either. I believe in years to come people will have serious health problems from the masks.

Saying there are health problems from masks doesn't make it true.
I'm more concerned with the estimated 10% of people who have had covid who have long-term complications. I see that in my social group with people who were previously healthy 20 and 30-somethings who now have trouble walking for 15 minutes, climbing up to their 2nd floor apartment, or staying awake more than 10 hours a day.

just like everyone believes something different does not mean people don't try to make informed decisions from their own research.
some might want to take a vaccine some might not want to same with the mask. my final decision not to wear it is I believe its unhealthy. I do it in a state where I stick out like a sore thumb too and don't care.

it's unfortunate but people get sick. there was a lady I heard about that always wore a mask religiously and still got covid.
I have heard some people recover from long term covid. I was wondering if they ever did. my state wears them religiously there should be virtually no cases if the masks worked.
At end of year we'll revisit and either I'll apologize for doubting you or you can explain why you were fear-mongering irrationally.
Bookmarked indeed! California is nowhere near even offering the under-65, non-obese, non-first-responder group the chance to sign-up for a vaccination appointment. The joke around the office is that we'll all be turning 65 (including the Millennials!) by the time that vaccine-eligibility broadens. Or perhaps by then, we'll have had a second (and deadlier?) pandemic on our hands.
I'm not a fan of "recalling" duly-elected politicians, but for Gavin Newsom, there's ample reason to make an exception. That said, it's more of bureaucratic malaise than a political situation. Don't expect California to reach a Texas-Florida-etc. return to normalcy until 2022. If it turns out that I'm wrong, well, on such matters I would gladly be wrong.
What's weird about hating masks? I cannot STAND to have something over my face - it gives me terrible anxiety. My "medical exemption" is very real, trust me. I've hated them from the very start, and I hate people who insist I wear them even more.
It's a darn good thing people leave me alone - as they should - whenever I go out in public with a bare face.
That’s fine, I’m not going to question your own personal issue with masks - mine was more of a general question to the mask haters.

He said all adults will be eligible for the vaccine on April 15 but scarcity is the main issue. I still plan on getting vaccinated at a pharmacy after this date (if you hang out and wait til the end of the day, sometimes they have extras). If I wait for my doctor, I might have to wait until July as they will vaccinate older and higher risk people first.
I still caught covid and I wore the mask and washed my hands and stayed home etc. The same situation tons of people said they wore a mask and still caught the virus. People tried to defend the mask " Oh you wasn't wearing the mask on right" " The mask keeps other people safe but I am screwed" and another person said "You wasn't washing your hands" Imo mask is just a security blanket how a child feels safe with his blanket or teddy bear.
Sadly I still have to wear the mask when required. New Jersey takes the mask seriously and people will act like you have a std and you get put on blast on social media.
The Vaccine debate kind of took over the mask debate. People make a huge deal out of getting the vaccine shot and how they are all of a sudden free and they can't catch the virus anymore.
I only wear them where I'm forced to...like the grocery store. I guess I'll have to continue wearing them in businesses until they don't require it anymore.
Same here.
