Child abuse.

"Use of GnRH analogues doesn't cause permanent changes in an adolescent's body. Instead, it pauses puberty, providing time to determine if a child's gender identity is long lasting. It also gives children and their families time to think about or plan for the psychological, medical, developmental, social and legal issues ahead.

If an adolescent child stops taking GnRH analogues, puberty will resume."

Use of GnRH analogues might also have long-term effects on:

Bone density
Future fertility
Children will likely have their height checked every three months. Your child's doctor might recommend yearly bone density and bone age tests.

If children with male genitalia begin using GnRH analogues early in puberty, they might not develop enough penile and scrotal skin for certain gender confirmation genital surgical procedures, such as penile inversion vaginoplasty. Alternative techniques, however, are available.

In addition, delaying puberty beyond one's peers can be stressful. Your child might experience lower self-esteem.

And for those who haven't seen the following LGBT commercial from Pantene:

If nothing else, that is total child exploitation in more ways than one, in my opinion.

It is not up to you or Rand Paul to make the decision. That is up to the parents with input from the child.
Still isn’t right, and someone needs to protect them from “woke” parents. One thing, it is now the in thing or trend, case in point at my friends school where she is a teacher, had a little girl tell her she was a boy, cause her mom told her she was and unfortunately I’m sure she wasn’t the only one, some kids has used it for attention, most likely never thought about it. There will be some who would have preferred the opposite sex (parents) and groom their baby from a infant. I see all kinds of how this can be abused.

It’s not a life or death, they can wait till they are older.

It might be.

"Transgender teens who were able to receive treatments to suppress puberty were less likely to ever consider suicide, researchers found."

I am wondering if this (a mother insisting her child is actually the opposite sex from what s/he appears to be) is some new form of Munchausen Syndrome?

Lawyers are going to make a killing when the lawsuits start piling up in the next couple of decades. It doesn't get any lower than messing around with children. Who in their right mind would celebrate being diagnosed with a serious mental disorder that requires extensive surgery and a lifetime of treatment?
