I'm not a defense cheerleader. I give credit though to Nelson. He genuinely thinks his hail Mary efforts can keep his client out of jail. He deserves recognition for representing this lie and trying to take it to the goal post.

As most agree, he doesn't have to defend his clients innocence. He can just sit back and force the prosecution to meet the levels necessary to warrant a conviction.

I live by the saying that 'it's your lie tell it how you want. ' And he sure is telling a good amount.

It's getting to be lunch time so if chenping doesn't come back soon, I might take his chicken he had in custody and the rice he was boiling. And make some lunch

Nelson just spelled out motive. "The 9+ minutes cannot be considered unless the previous 16 minutes are also considered."

In other words, Chauvin totally lost it and was unable to reassess and reevaluate. Chauvin was acting on his own anger.

No reasonable police officer on the stand said those 9 minutes were in line with Minneapolis policy. Restrain and put in proper positioning. None said, yes keep all three officers on the subject long after he has no pulse. Keep him face down.
Nope not a one.

Well b.brood did say Floyd should be comfortable laying on the pavement while three men are pressuring the respiratory area. (SMH) complete rubbish.

Defense: "Reasonable police officers believes if one can speak, they can breathe."

That effectively implicates Chauvin for doing nothing during the over 3 minutes Floyd stopped talking.

The flip-side being, Floyd is no longer talking therefore he is no longer breathing.

Everytime defense brings up the video, it helps the prosecution.

A reasonable officer would take into account the duress of the subject.

Notice though how Nelson deliberately doesn't let video show chauvins knee positions.

It's so sadly predictable what you would want the outcome of this trial to be. I don't really follow it that closely because I have been really busy lately but at least if I did, I would listen to the facts as they are presented and form my conclusions based on that. I wonder if ANY of the liberals will do that. Kinda doubt it.

Again, the defense is: "We can't let up on Floyd because of what he might do." "EMS is on the way, we will let them deal with whatever Floyd might do."

Nelson just stopped short of showing when Chauvin continued to kneel on Floyd's neck for another 4 minutes after they confirmed him non responsive.

Police using deadly force is not a "liberal thing." We need to act on it when it happens unless you want our country to turn into a North Korean environment.

If there were no videos, Chauvin and the other three officers would have lied about the entire situation.

BTW, I am basing my opinion on facts presented at the trial.
