Those supplying us with the oil have already started planning for a world without oil.

Check out the Masdar Initiative to see what is possible now.

Government apologist? Is it a full moon out or what? You are obviously confusing me with someone else.

Nah.

America's expansionist policies duplicate the Soviet's. The only difference is the type of government we are compelling those to participate in. The Soviets believed that socialism worked for everyone like the neo-bolshevists believe that democracy works for everyone.

Say goodbye to the value of homes in the far suburbs and exurbs. Cities with mass transit will become more valuable. May even bring back such dinosaurs as Camden, Detroit, Buffalo. Jobs and homes will need to exist side by side like they did earlier in our history.

Detroit's mass transit system is actually abysmal, which is rather unfortunate for an area that already has a lot of poor people.

I heard it would be $24 a gallon by the Fourth of July and that George Bush was going to celebrate with his big Fourth of July buddies by shoving a firecracker up the butt of every American. Then he will laugh with all of his big firecracker buddies.

I wish! but sadly, that is delusional. The trend is towards "self contained developments,"basically bringing the city to the "exurbs" as you call them.

Just heard on the radio today that bike sales are up, and I don't mean motorcycles. All in all, that is not a bad thing.
