This is why I can't be a liberal. Liberals think with their hearts & not their brains. A liberal sees homeless people & how they feel sorry for them and it's so horrible the are being removed from there encampments. But they fail to recognize all the other problems that come from these camps. The drugs, needles, disease, violence etc.
Are some homeless people there truly good people that avoid all of the above? Yes. But by just letting them stay there because a certain % are good people on bad times you cause so many more problems within society.
That’s correct. Liberalism is all about showing up to fight cops then going back home after you’ve been on the news and have taken your selfies.
The residents of LA have twice voted for bonds in the last few years to fund housing and services for the homeless, so activists who claim that removal is cruel are lying. The Los Angeles Homeless Authority offers people shelter. The purpose of parks is to provide recreation for all to enjoy, not to serve as outdoor living spaces with the accompanying drug paraphernalia or trash heaps. For every protestor on the ground there are at least ten residents who want the encampment gone.
From what I hear, the funding for the homeless services is a scam lining the pockets of insiders. It has not helped any homeless
You do know Bakersfield is considered somewhat of a "little Oklahoma" in California? It's very conservative and is populated mostly by people who migrated from the South during the 1930s.
My mom grew up by there. We would tease her because she said words like wash with an r and had a slight drawl. Different than most people in CA where we didn't really have an accent it seemed, just maybe talking fast and all. Made sense once I learned about the Okies.
I am ashamed of California: more acceptable to riot than go to any indoor group gathering, large outdoor social gathering (where people hang out socially and eat instead of riot) or go into a store without a mask.
And the really sad thing about this is that YOU, the State of California, want the rest of the country to follow your lead... When you can’t even lead yourself!!

It is kinda comical. It's like watching a wagon roll down the road at top speed and you see it go by and think, wow that's a great looking wagon. Isn't it pretty! But then the wagon comes to a stop and you walk over and take a good look. You notice a few spokes broken off the wheels, missing bolts that are barely holding the wheels on the axles. The paint is bubbling and when you look at the undercoat, it's just one big rusty mess.

It's been many, many years since Bakersfield was mostly populated by the Dust Bowl crowd. It's been a Hispanic majority (52%) for quite awhile now. Fresno, Tulare, and Visalia are Hispanic majorities also. Bakersfield does have a Dust Bowl Festival yearly though. DustBowl Festival ends 30-year run on ... - bakersfield.com
