How do we know the political stance of these people? Not everyone in Austin is liberal. White liberals and conservatives are prone to do that stuff. It’s cultural, not political.
No, conservatives are not prone to calling car shows scary displays of toxic masculinity, LOL. I doubt even many liberals outside the woke white clowns (progressives and their virtue-signaling enablers) are saying that. Can you imagine any of the liberal black men you know saying that? This seems to be a white-guilt progressive “thing”.
They also assume that black folks need good white liberals to help them out in life because they can't make it without them. I constantly call out this soft form of bigotry.
That’s how I feel too. I’m all for improving neighborhoods, but don’t take away the culture and traditions of those who were there before them, it’s not the locals problem that those who are complaining didn’t do the research before they moved in.
Maybe it's time to move out of Texas? Hmmmm, just sayin...
No, just move out of the urban/suburban areas like all other states infected by very destructive Leftism in and around cities. Texas is a big state with a population that largely understands Rights, Freedoms and Liberties.
Maybe because no conservative would ever use that pussified term “.....display of toxic masculinity,” or be frightened of a car club meet that has met regularly for decades?
Agree with you on the first part but not the second. Many conservative people are frightened by far less than that, just like many liberals. There are conservatives in my parents’ beautiful middle class neighborhood who complain about the neighborhood changing in a quiet, clean area where the only danger happens to be their young adult son speeding up and down the cul-de-sac.
But because these non-white people do well for themselves and live in the neighborhood, they’re frightened.
One of them even complained the tire smoke was killing the trees-LOL
From the article; "...... Particularly on Sundays, car club members can gather for easygoing celebrations of their ostentatious rides. They'll bring their families, pets, and even a barbecue pit—regular necessities for an outdoor party....."
Let's see, cars, families, BBQ and pets. Oh noes!!!!!
Hell, I'd like to attend one of those shindigs but then again as a toxic male I am a serious car guy.

Such pure, unadulterated BS.

Apparently it’s not the car show that’s scary. It’s the brown people having some disposable income. (Excuse me while I either vomit, or fall on the floor laughing.)
