Funny how that keeps happening. It's almost like the scientists are right to be concerned.
Hundred thousand illegals coming across the border and being shipped to places like Dallas, Midland, El Paso would not surprise me if cases did rise again.

What will be the fault if Florida cases jump? Illegal Cubans still sneaking in by boat?

Ah, so they caused the nation-wide increase of 10% last week with more than two dozen states showing a rise, did they? Sure, sure. Blame the foreign boogieman again.

a "Dark Winter" doesn't stop at the end of January.

hospitalizations & deaths in 2021 have been at much lower rates than before Nov 1, 2020.

If "the" official government source (CDC) wishes to predict a bad outcome from a "dark winter" that doesn't happen - that's theirs to own up to, not ours.

Regardless of what some politician from Texas says is best, many (hopefully most) people still care enough about their health and the well-being of those around them to ease into normalcy with a cautious approach until the vaccine reaches a much wider majority of the population, and it's actually backed by qualified medical professionals to relax things to this degree. If the politicians do happen to have any sense, then great, but I certainly wouldn't rely on them to protect myself and loved ones or to advise me on how to conduct myself.

The good news about the vaccine is that it has been shifting the risk away from people who are being careful and considerate of others and towards those are not (not wearing masks and refusing to get vaccinated when it's easily available and they have not legitimate medical reason for not doing so). That's a better scenario than the other way around, which is what has been happening throughout most of this ordeal.

Also, their throwing caution to the wind approach isn't exactly "reopening" the economy the way they're claiming to do in many cases:

At the end of the day, 99.99% of people were fine even before the vaccines, which according to the corporations administering them, it doesn't even stop the spread of the virus necessarily. All it does is lessen the symptoms and temporarily at that.

What stops virus spread the most is quarantining. That's why they send you home from school if you're sick or you take day(s) off work. The problem pre-plandemic was people would disregard this and still go out in public sick, harming everyone. Now those people are staying at home and employers are slightly more lenient on sick days.

Oh no! You should stay home for a few more years. Thanks in advance for "saving lives."
