This is just sad. As a side note, this made me think of something. I've been given rides before when I needed it. One morning I went to the bank and it was quickly getting hot (June in Georgia for you). I proceeded to walk back to the university (I had class later that afternoon). A pregnant woman in a pickup truck offered to give me a ride back to campus. I accepted and thanked her for it. I never once thought to assault her or do anything to her. It would never cross my mind to do such a thing. I get why the judge was disgusted.

No offense, but the pregnant woman was an idiot to pick up a stranger. Nothing against you - you’re a decent fellow, as most people are - but given how deranged some people are, any female giving a ride to an unknown man is a fool.

I don't see her as an idiot. I never looked at her as stupid. I was like "thank you, you just saved me from heat stroke". I would never expect a pregnant woman to do that. However, the fact that she was kind enough to do that surprised me. I don't expect that from most people much less a pregnant woman. I was also 19 at the time, and frequently mistaken for being younger than that.
And I'm aware of how deranged some people are. I got jumped and robbed walking home from work on night, in the suburbs.

As long as we’re sharing stories, I was walking from the parking lot of my building to the front door at around 1 am after a night of clubbing. (I was in my 20s.) Out of nowhere pops this guy, who tells me that his car needs a jump start, and it is parked a few blocks away, and could I give him a lift to this car?
Uh.....NO. I did offer to call a car place for him, instead. He told me thanks, but no thanks.
And yes, that woman was a fool to give a strange man a ride. I’m a kind person, also, but would never do that- it’s just too risky.
Wow. The 13-year old is now a 3 time loser. Just incredible.
