Does not make any sense, does it?
Logical thinking & common sense are rare traits these days.

Brick & mortar v. the guy working out of his garage. Both seem happy.

In America, government does not get to tell you or me, what we use to defend ourselves against government.
It is the entire reason ALL firearm legislation is to be ignored.

”If the state does remove, or convert your right into a privilege and issue a license and charge a fee for it, you can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right with impunity.” SHUTTLESWORTH v. BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, 373 US 262

Too many people have been raised to fear their servant government. SAD!

Governments do not get to tell you or me what firearms we can possess. They cannot tell us where or when you or I can possess a firearm. The government cannot tell a person walking the streets freely, they cannot possess a firearm, even if they are mentally ill, or a convicted felon(use to hang those evil people)

Why? You are not governments property for them to do so.
Because all that is a FREE individuals "Personal Liberty", to choose for themselves. Not the governments to deny, or choose for you.
This is true with all our rights. Government does not get to willy-nilly fill in the blanks. That is YOUR personal liberty to choose for yourself. Where the constitution is not specific, the liberty lies with the people. Not government.

No. Not at all. The argument is thinking that doing this is going to, reduce , as the OP stated "90% of this crime disappears."

I looked at the crime reports for my city awhile back, 70% of ALL crime was either drug dealing/possession and drug related (stealing, theft, in order to buy more drugs)...

It was also very interesting that the large majority of people arrested for these crimes were WHITE people!

Again, how is legalizing drugs going to eliminate "90% of crime" ? Unless you are giving the drugs away for free, people are still going to steal, in order to buy more drugs.

Are you going to tell me 90% of these shootings that happened here in Detroit were drug related ?

Do you see many people robbing, stealing, killing, in order to obtain alcohol?

Of course not...thats because alcohol is CHEAP, (its legal) and manufactured by legitimate companies, however when prohibition was the law, alcohol was VERY expensive...(the high cost was due to the illegal status...the RISK involved in its sale, possession, transportation, etc), same thing goes for drugs.

Im not saying ALL violent crime is drug related, many are just people who cannot control their anger, but a large percentage are still drug related in some way.

Interesting you bring up alcohol. It is allegedly responsible for 40% of our countries violent crime.

37% of rapes and sexual assaults
15% of robberies
27% of aggravated assaults
25% of simple assaults

13% of the population is responsible for 53% of ALL murders, 69% of ALL violent crime, and 72% of ALL robbery/burglary/theft.....
Could be, the majority of that segment of the population are alcoholics
