Everyone is different. I have a good friend from Boston, who is a lawyer in Atlanta. He speaks with a southern drawl now. No Boston left in his accent. Yet my brother has lived in Atlanta for 25 years and still sounds like he’s from NJ.

His accent is the least unappealing thing about him.

Guy appears to be a very recent transplant to Texas, given his loss in Nevada, last November.

It came out during the Nevada contest, he does not hold a license to practice law in any state.

Wonder how he supports 6 kiddos. Perhaps the refundable $12000 child tax credit and 3 stimulus payments help.

The responses to this are demonstrative of the right's willingness to support anyone on the right, no matter what. Even Matt Gaetz called him out.

The ad, in particular, has renewed criticism that Rodimer, with no known connection to the 6th District, is a carpetbagger pandering to the Texas electorate. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) attacked Rodimer and the ad: “Fake Texan makes fake video of fake bull ride.”

“We already have enough phonies in Congress,” Gaetz said. “Texans, please send this Nevada man back to his true home state (where he lost two prior elections).”

I don’t know enough about him to support him or not. But I do support his right to do what he is doing. It’s not like he is doing something illegal. It is an issue for the voters to decide. If it is so bad that it trumps his policy agenda, he will lose.

He's a 42 year old with 6 kids. What's the point of calling him a New Jersey boy?
