AR15/M4 platform is way easier to shoot than shotgun. You throw a red dot on the AR and you can shoot a fly out of the sky.

Shotgun has way too much recoil for novice shooter, low round capacity, takes time to reload, and not very effective beyond 30-50 yards cause the spread of buckshot is too unpredictable

I own both AR and shotgun.

The trickier question with guns is asking how we keep guns designed for quickly engaging multiple targets successfully (like the AR), from being used by mentally ill people to instead give them a way to quickly kill lots of people in mass shootings. It's a very complicated question that touches on many things from firearms regulation, mental health, balancing privacy with safety, and others.
In that case you might want to get rid of your Kahr because handguns still hold the most record (within the firearm) for killing in America year after year

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...hs-in-the-u-s/ In 2017, handguns were involved in the majority (64%) of the 10,982 U.S. gun murders and non-negligent manslaughters for which data is available, according to the FBI. Rifles – the category that includes many guns that are sometimes referred to as “assault weapons”– were involved in 4%. Shotguns were involved in 2%. The remainder of gun homicides and non-negligent manslaughters (30%) involved firearms that were classified as “other guns or type not stated.”

This is every bit as ridiculous as it sounds.

Source??

And, why is this news?

I'll bet half of Congress has ARs or equivalents

Why?

Why? It kicks harder, does more collateral damage, and holds less rounds. I'd rather have an AR with a 30 round mag.

He's gonna need more than an AR-15.
