All incoming air travellers to Canada must spend up to three days in one of the government’s approved hotels, at their own expense, as they await results of a COVID-19 test they were required to take when they landed in Canada.
Heil Canada! It used to be a nice country. And then the liberals took over.

We have similar system over here. In the US, if someone finds out they have a serious illness the bill can come out to 7 figures. You blame liberals but it's the right-wingers who want to keep this insane system where something unforeseen and no fault of the citizen can cost them their entire fortune and more.
But a $3,458 hotel bill is where you draw the line??
Tucker Carlson: “Canada” Has Gone Insane took a dramatic move toward legitimately dangerous authoritarianism.
Never let a crisis go to waste and liberals have certainly followed that advice with Covid to impose liberal authoritarianism.
Quote:
Justin Trudeau, outlined his government’s new corona regulations. Canadians hoping to return to their country must be tested before and after takeoff, he said, adding: "If your test results come back positive, you’ll need to immediately quarantine in designated government facilities. This is not optional.
Quarantine for a positive covid test is an internment camp?
Tucker will lose his mind when he hears how they do it in Australia!
Quarantine for a negative test as well.
You must first show a negative test before boarding the plane and take another test upon landing. Travelers are required to quarantine until the results of the second test are confirmed, which can take up to three days. All on the travelers dime.
Mandatory quarantine unless coming in from a "Green Zone" or you have been approved an exemption. The exemptions only seem to be granted to actors escaping from Hollywood.
Quarantine in a designated government facility is not that unusual. We used it in the US whether it was on Quarantine Road (still named that in Norfolk from the quarantine houses in the 1850's) to the huge quarantine hospital built outside of Philadelphia in 1799 to quarantine / isolation hospitals in the US for TB and other diseases.
At one point in the 20th century in the US, almost 700,000 people were in TB sanatoriums in the US. One reason for this was that until the isolation facilities were in place, hundreds of thousands of Americans died of TB as they continued to work and live at home; the sanatoriums helped make TB a disease that most Americans no longer have to deal with.
Dozens of sanatoria were established in the US, some remain now as hospitals. Memorial Hospital, Swedish Medical and National Jewish Health, all in CO started as TB quarantine sanatoria - my guess is that many hospitals elsewhere in the US started this way, their quarantine history mostly forgotten.
