President Joe Biden allowed a proclamation from his Republican predecessor that had blocked many temporary foreign workers from coming into the United States to expire on Wednesday, according to a related court filing on Thursday.
Darn.

Trump first issued his directive on temporary foreign workers in June 2020 and renewed it through March 31 before leaving office, portraying it as necessary to protect American workers amid high unemployment during the coronavirus pandemic.
One of those rare occasions where I agree with one of Trump's policies.

What does this even mean? I see it in every one of your posts but I don't know what you are saying and how it relates to the subject.

Yeah this is the sort of thing that arouses opposition from all sides of the aisle. Totally dumb to allow the US job market to get flooded with cheap labor anytime, but especially when we're still so many millions of jobs below where we were early in 2020. The unemployment rate number is a joke, it's labor participation that matters and tells us the real unemployment, and that's near a record low.

a variation of the tried and true, "I-know-you-are-but-what-am-I?" gambit that worked so well when we were 8.
