So, Hunter Biden it turns out was having an intimate relationship with his sister in law that ruined his marriage. Then his new relationship with his sister in law went south, because she accused him of sleeping with her daughter or his biological niece. Oh by the way, the neice was a minor when it allegedly happened.
During the unstable relationship his sister in law dumped Hunter's gun in the trash across the road from a school. To make a long story shorter, because of their efforts to retrieve the said gun, we now have the paperwork on Hunter's gun application and he clearly lied about his drug use and drug criminal record.
Should Hunter Biden be charged or is he above this law?
If he should not be charged, should we repeal laws and applications that ask questions about drug use and stability for gun purchasers?
Well, I think he's above the law. We set the standard in the last adminstration when Jared Kushner lied on his SF86 about several things. That is also a criminal offense. But instead, we decided to give him a security clearance any way. I think the precedent has now been set for relatives of Presidents. It's only the little people that get in trouble.
should he be charged? Only if others who have also lied have been charged in the past. He seems like a despicable human being and i don't much like his father. But this being said we are supposed to hold ourselves to the standard of treating people equally for their own actions. So as I said if others have been charged, charge him. If charging others is rarely or never done, nope don't do it.

Perhaps, but first let's clear up the backlog starting with Kushner. How many times did he have to amend his application for a security clearance. The form is admittedly long, but at the end, page 158, it says:
A FALSE ANSWER TO ANY QUESTION IN THIS FORM MIGHT BE GROUNDS FOR DENYING APPOINTMENT OR FOR DISMISSAL AFTER APPOINTMENT, AND MIGHT BE PUNISHABLE BY FINE OR IMPRISONMENT (18 U.S.C.1001). ALL STATEMENTS OR INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS FORM ARE SUBJECT TO INVESTIGATION.

You're comparing a 158 page submital that contains 7-10 years of background information (depending on the type of clearance) and can take months to investigate to a two page form that mainly consists of some yes/no questions and can take a little as 15min?

It is also a crime to lie on a form applying for conceal carry license or on the form for the purchase of a gun.
