The issue is, people KNOW they are fat, what's the point in insisting doctors say it too? The End.

People know they are fat, they do not want to do anything about it. No one can make them, and you really can't argue they are not aware.

Again, let's get some personal responsibility, and not try to pawn off the problem to other people who can't change it.

Yes, personal responsibility is a huge part of it, but that would include people having the personal responsibility of not jettisoning their doctor just because he gave them medical information that might have bruised their ego.

And I agree that people know they are fat, but not all know how much sooner they will die because of that.

I'm laughing at this thread. OP must not have been around 20 years ago when conservatives were screaming about Democrats trying to ban smoking in public and ruin the tobacco companies.

And OP must not remember a few years ago when conservatives were screaming about Michelle Obama trying to force healthy food on grade school kids.

Yeah, or margarine, or corn syrup, lard, alcohol, heck added sugar in soft drinks including the now "woke" Coca cola. All of these things kill far more Americans than COVID. Why not ban them too?

The article references 2018 and the source as usual is right winged and biased ....

Of course there were over 39,000 deaths by guns in 2017, your article is very selective on what they are comparing. Ten just got murdered in Boulder in what a minute maybe two by Ruger AR-556 pistol, good thing he didn't bring a knife or club God knows how many would have been killed in a blink of an eye....

126 killed so far this year in mass shootings, 148 total through March due to guns imagine the carnage if they brought knives & clubs...

The dangers of the drug are only used as a deception, (just like it was used in the past, with the Chinese and black people), the govt has even admitted they lied about the dangers and its real goal was to target a specific race! Its not like the govt can just come out and admit they are targeting specific races, its common sense they would use 'health/safety' as the excuse.
I remember in history, that the country China had a opium problem, regardless, a few young people died in our small town by heroin, they were all white.

Just pointing out how suddenly the left changed sides. If one wants to smoke or overeat, that’s their choice. People has died from other viruses besides covid.

The current situation is millions are still dying from smoking, why isn't tobacco banned? Meanwhile this is adding billions (trillions?) to healthcare cost which non-smokers are paying for.
