That garbage coming in from China can stay out in the ocean for all I care. I refuse to purchase any item made in China. Why support a country who is actively seeking our demise?
Well 23 container ships full of Chinese goods begs to differ with you.
They're cranking right now. I've sailed out of San Pedro for years, and I've never seen the container terminal this busy. The minute a berth clears up and the ship is outside the breakwater, a new one comes in. Tugboat crews must be making bank.
We should be a massive tax on goods imported from PR China to pay reparations to all Americans for their Chinese virus they unleashed on the USA and the rest of the world. Tax these ship's the minute they tie up and don't unload them until they pay.
Clever. Who pays import tariffs, again? US consumers.
I used to sail out of San Pedro. Lots of wind in Hurricane Gulch. Commercial craft would yield right-of-way, but baaaarly, then they'd shave your stern and give you dirty looks. I would always wave hello 'cause I'm out there enjoying myself while they're working. I moved to Shoreline in Long Beach and loved it.
