Extortion? Sounds like everyday politics in the USA. Politicians have been extorting tax dollars from we the people since the beginning of our nation.
The OP seems to forget Slick Willy's exploits. Using State Troopers to round up women for him. Using them as guards outside his hotel rooms. Using them to intimidate uncooperative women. Then the dems tarred and feathered his accusers.
If the alleged abuse of minors happened I hope every abuser is sent to prison for it, but let's no pretend this is a partisan issue.
At this point, it's an allegation that hasn't been proved. But if proven, then congratulations, the Republicans did something like Epstein Island, an overwhelmingly Democrat pedophile ring.
Just imagine a world where Democrats held their own to the same ridiculous standards that they hold Republicans to. If you're a Democrat, you're innocent until tried and convicted in court and you've exhausted all appeals. If you're a Republican you're guilty the instant you're accused.
I'm sure there's bad people on both sides. I'd just like to see the same standards applied across the board. If Joe Biden were held to the same standard that the Dems tried to enforce on Brett Kavanaugh and Donald Trump, Joe Biden would have been forced to drop out of the running and live out the rest of his life in disgrace because Tara Reade accused him of doing a naughty thing.
Are you kidding me? The Dems booted Al Franken, one of their own rising stars, out of the senate for making a distasteful joke before he was in office. Trump, on the other hand, cheated on all three of his wives and bragged about grabbing women by the crotch, yet Republicans loved him all the more for it.
I have to admit, a few Dems do cross the line to the other side of the moral spectrum; but they have a lot to learn from the GOP. The worst that a Dem did was being handsy, sexting, or having an affair.
