Same Biden who told us to go buy a shotgun and fire it in the air to scare away perps. Aside from not being safe, that advice would earn a charge of aggravated assault, a felony.

Let's hear more from the guy who the democrat voters rejected in the must win primaries and magically became president. Legally, his psych drugs may invalidate his signature.

Exactly. Hopefully those that are uninformed about firearms, eventually see these tactics for what they are, and get tired of all the talk with zero results.

Sounds like another photo op for his legacy narrative.

And 'the ban' will continue to creep in administratively nd legally to say they did something for the do the something crowd.

Gun control isn't getting through congress because there isn't enough support to get it through. That's how our system works. If there was enough support it would go through. Call it gridlock, call it whatever you want. Something either has enough support to get through, or it doesn't.

This reliance on legislating through EO is dangerous and unacceptable.

There never be a fix for suicide by removing firearms people will simply use another method. That and mass shootings by someone who is mentality ill is a result of many things not just access to firearms. Decent mental healthcare is reserved for the wealthy in this country. Private insurance has mostly not paid for it the kind of care working class get is 10 minute office visit and a prescription for some kind of pills. I think redflag laws could work if they are written properly family should be able to notify LE if someone has gone insane. There needs to be some real controls in place to keep it from being abused. Most states already have laws where family can contact them have LE take them in for a mental evaluation.

Toothless virtue signaling.

Chipman is a problem, though. He was involved at some level with the Waco incident, and has been working for Bloomberg's & Giffords' groups for about the last decade. Civil service isn't his interest in the job, nor is it the reason Biden's pushing for him. He's an overt anti-gun guy, and his involvement sends a VERY clear signal as to Biden's intentions on this issue.

Think ammo's expensive now? Heh.

Here it is stated :

" President Biden is reiterating his call for Congress to pass legislation to reduce gun violence."

1) The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.”

How many homicides are attributed to these "ghost" guns ?

2) The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act.

Again, how many homicides are attributed to SBR's ?

And I see nothing addressing mental health , which is important since almost 50% of gun deaths are suicides. This is just another BS proposal to pander to his supporters.

I believe the recent Grocery store shooting in Colorado guy had a braced AR-15 with a 9" barrel. I think most people understand suicide and gang shootings is always going to be a problem when go shopping at a grocery store some guy shows up with an AR-15 starts shooting that gets way more visibility.

Once we have enough 'mass shootings' and the death toll is SO horrendous, I do believe they will pass tough gun control...we just arent there yet.

This will happen much faster if there are more mass shootings involving children being killed.

Whether the public will tolerate tough gun control is up in the air, but imo, people WILL OBEY.

Which was illegal for him to have, unless he had a tax stamp for an SBR, or a CPL for having a pistol. Both requiring background checks.
If he had that gun legally, well...that just shows how well laws work.

Again, this is a societal issue.
