That's the consequence of not basing things on merit, skills, etc, but on identity politics.
I was watching an old All In the Family and ironically, this episode showed where Mike and another black guy were trying out for the same job. the show was about whether Mike or the other guy would get picked.
the company picked the black guy for the job, and the guy told him it was to make things equal.
So this show was made in the 1970's but rings true today.
I am afraid this can be dangerous, i.e. if an airline pilot is based on identity politics and not on merit and skill. Same for surgeons, etc.

standards have been lowered to such an extent it's hard to find anyone competent anymore.
One of those lies your parents tell you is that if you simply work hard it's all you need to get ahead. In fact it's people skills that make or break a person. If you can make people feel good you have a big advantage over everyone else, or if you can manipulate them like a psychopath can. The whole white collar, office world is built upon this. They spend half their day in idle chit chat and make double the money as the blue collar worker bee being monitored by the chip implanted into their brain by their corporate overlords.
Skills mean little now. Merit means little. Hard work isn't worth a roll of used toilet paper these days. LOL Going to work or school to gain these things is mostly pointless. A merit-based system now we are NOT.
With how America functions, I can't really blame people for sitting home on their rears doing the bare minimum. America has already shown putting in extra effort doesn't pay off for most people as you wont be rewarded for those efforts. The most qualified person RARELY gets the job. Meritocracy has vanished. . So why bother? Its easier to be a lazy slug now than a "go getter"
Agreed and like a lot of us have been writing in the other threads on this, as bad as it is for American whites right now, it's about to get even worse as white Americans suffer ever shrinking minority status in the USA. These quota and affirmative action policies are a major disincentive to hard work and achievement, because even the most accomplished and successful achievements for white Americans are going to be disregarded in favor of race quotas. And it's only getting worse every month for US whites. Much worse.
Among American youth in general whites are already a minority, the same for most young adults, and for kids under 10, whites are already falling down to about 40 percent of US children, and shrinking faster every year thanks to mass immigration to the US. Funny how being a "minority" usually gets privileges with quotas and affirmative action but now, with whites ourselves becoming a minority, we only get hated and blamed even more. Even when we're victims of hate crimes we get no recognition-- all of the victims of that Syrian shooter Ahmad Alissa in Boulder, Co. were white, and all the victims of the ex NFL player in South Carolina were white. Yet the media shoves those cases down the memory hole. Whites suffer discrimination in schools, jobs, everywhere in the US but as our numbers shrink, we just get hated even more. Like we were saying elsewhere, this is a big reason why so many white Americans are emigrating, moving to Europe or South America. Even if they have their own problems, the European Union-- except for Britain (which just dumb imitates the US)-- doesn't do affirmative action because it's hard to justify quotas against the majority whites (about 95% white population in the EU) in a continent where whites actually are the native peoples in their indigenous ethnic homelands. That's why whites in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand just get hated and attacked even more as we get smaller in population, we're the hated, reviled "colonizers" and "settlers" here, and not only the Left but also the "pro-business" neocon, RINO "Right" attacks white Americans to weaken the USA's independent streak and replace us with more docile, cheap labor from abroad.

Hasn't this happened to many cultures that aren't a majority? As much as we talk highly for the Asians now, many were forced into owning their own businesses because they weren't allowed as many jobs. But that was in a time bootstraps weren't as expensive. The Irish despite being white were treated as bad as African-Americans in the 1800's and 1900's until you were say second generation.
I also stated in another topic that being a middle class or lower white American especially male, is already mediocracy bound. They often cannot get scholarships unless it is sports related. Take a look at how many scholarships are out there for white males. Most are ethnicity, nationality or gender based so maybe three. Many of the nationality is for 50% of it. Unless you are in Germantown, it isn't likely you are getting a scholarship for German heritage. Because of this, they strap themselves down with loans because "We need a college degree."

Funny how you say whites are now at 40%. The way I see it, is that due to how many minorities are coming in, it largely is a battle with themselves for the chunks of whites reduced. I mean a lot of it is due to people not marrying and/or having kids.
