Remember way back in 2019, when people around the world were standing up to their governments?
There was the yellow vest movement in France, which had branched out to Belgium, the UK and other European countries, the movement for independence in Hong Kong and the Chinese imposition of draconian law on them, the populist movement in the US which got Trump elected was growing as more protests were happening, massive protests in Venezuela... there was pushback against government happening all over the world.
And then COVID hit, and all of it ended.
All of it.
I'm not saying it's anything other than a coincidence, but one must admit that the emergence of C19 couldn't possibly have happened at a better time for the governments of these countries.
I doubt the elites like civil disobedience anymore than they like jury nullification. They keep us distracted with bread and circuses to keep that from happening. It's not just about control though... the monetary system in the US was headed for a collapse if they didn't pump endless trillions more into the economy to prop it up... covid gave them the excuse they needed to beat the dead horse for longer, to let more dead debris accumulate on the forest floor... to prop up zombie companies and create more of them, to pump up the everything bubble to epic proportions... they are trying to prevent natural economic cycles from ever occurring again and they will fail spectacularly but in the meantime enjoy the heroin. The high is great but withdraw is a *****.
If we don't stop it we will have a full fledged social credit type system where dissent and debate of establishment policy decisions is not allowed, like in China. It's coming....
I think it’s possible some of those people reexamined their undirected hatred of government in light of an example when government really was needed.
