But those are also off topic.

Mass shootings are rare, but they should be much, much rarer.
A few hundred people die per year from "mass shootings."

In a country of 333 million people.

They couldn't be more rare! They are just dramatized because they are used by people who want to infringe constitutional rights.

More people by miles die from simple handgun violence per year in Chicago than all "mass shootings" combined in the entire country.

Why in the world would you want to live in a society where only the "important" people have the privilege of defending their lives? Do you want to be a peasant?
What does this have to do with anything I said? Nothing.

1. Why is it funny? What's a more civilized country? Why do more people want to come here than anywhere else? Are you one of those USA-hating liberals? They seem pretty common.

2. It has everything to do with what you said. You are advocating for exactly that...a society in which the elite have guns and no one else. Ask the jews in Germany or american indians how that worked out.

Imagine that. Although, those areas aren't without issues, predominantly of the drug usage kind.

No, you are trying to whitewash the problem because acknowledging that it is indeed a problem would mean examining your desire for free and easy gun ownership. What's really funny is that people like you constantly tell us how common "mass shootings" in the ghettos are, but when it comes to debating it in a thread about gun rights and ownership, all of a sudden they're a rare occurrence!

You just said they should be more rare.

Literally, a few hundred people die per year from "mass shootings."

Waaaaaaaay more people die from urban gang war violence. Those are not the things that are dramatized on the news by the gun grabbers.

How much rarer do you think "mass shootings" could possibly get than a couple HUNDRED deaths out of 333 million people per year?

Canada, Japan, most of Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand ... pretty much most OECD country is more civilized than the US. I even started a thread recently about one such city in one of those countries.

Because we are very welcoming to immigrants, and despite our many problems, we have an economy which is strong enough to absorb those immigrants.

Ah yes, the predictable right wing tactic. Anybody who says the US has some problem and isn't perfect "hates" America.

Show me where I said only the elite can own guns?

"Gun grabbers" dramatize ghetto violence as evidence of a need for gun control all the time. If you've never noticed that they do, then you've never noticed anything.

How about a couple DOZEN out of 333 million people per year?
