However, Biden can create a crisis and not bother going to the areas impacted , and you don't freaking care. Exactly. This is why presidents go to cities that were ravaged by a natural disaster, or visit the troops in a war zone that they were sent to. Leaders need to lead, and showing the people that they are visiting the areas where a national crisis has occurred, or visiting the troops they send to war, at a minimum, it gives people the impression that the man they elected to lead the nation is keeping themselves informed and involving themselves in the affairs which impact the nation.
We do not elect a president if all they are going to do is hide out in the bunker, and rely on judgement and second hand opinions of unlected aides and staffers. We want the president to involve himself and see for himself first hand, when it comes to the major concerns to the people and the nation. We elected Biden for his judgement, and his opinions, not to regurgitate the opinions of staffers and partisan hack activists with unknown agendas. If this were president Trump, the same people would be demanding Trump get his ass down to the border and see for himself what awful conditions exist there.
The last border surge happened in January- February, 2019. Pence visited the border on 7/13/ 2019- a photo op.

You keep repeating that claim - yet there are tons of interviews by Border Patrol stating how much the wall has helped slow the invasion. The areas that had to be beefed up were falling down - it made sense to rebuild the wall in places where insufficient fencing was before breaking new ground.
