I'm AI and I don't buy this garbage. There are a lot of borders between here and Costa Rica. These people were never indigenous here. Unless you are really dumb. I mean REALLY low IQ. Paying them off to quit coming here... how about some border security ?

Maybe more like humanitarian aid or even reparations. The area was devasted by two hurricanes in 2020 - part of the global warming arising from carbon dioxide emissions from guess who - not them. Half a million people lost their homes. These countries have no FEMA, can't print money like the US. It is a hopeless situation with people going homeless and hungry. They are truly refugees. And if we don't step up, China will and before you know it we will be dealing with Chinese military and missiles at our back door.

You think we owe Central America "reparation" money ? We already give them over $500 million per year.
We've been giving their corrupt governments hundreds of millions per year since JFK.

They have nothing because the corrupt governments keep all the money we give them.
Less than 5% actually gets to the people.

What a terrible idea. It is not our responsibility to fix the problems of Central America.

You are the hater. You are the one encouraging CHILDREN to make their way to our border.
Little brown boys and girls are getting robbed, raped, sold into slavery and left for dead in the desert so you can feel self righteous. Nauseating.

Since the nations of Central America are much smaller than Mexico, if we extended policies like NAFTA to Central America, we would be able to much quicker address their problems than we did with Mexico. Right-wingers are so busy trashing poor people crossing the border they're incapable of noticing that these policies helping other nations actually work, it just takes a while.
This is about him sending [even more] money to Central America, which we've been doing for decades..

Your link shows that despite our, and other countries, sending hundreds of millions of dollars every year for decades, the illegal traffic from Central America has been going up.

How is it that you think sending even more money will magically keep illegals from there coming here?

The problem with liberals and progressives is that they think throwing money at something is all it takes to fix it.

They never check to see if anything was actually done. We have a history here...60 years worth of giving Central America money and nothing has changed. If anything it's gotten worse as you state.

Instead of 200K a year we now have 200K a month streaming over the border...poor, uneducated single males makes up the majority of that number.

We break it, we bought it? We've had a long history of meddling with central/south America with covert and overt actions, sanctions, regime change, etc.

Of course the cited article clearly states $862 MILLION and NOT BILLION as alleged.

Seems as though BDS is wreaking havoc with the right's reading comprehension.

No, apparently it did not.
For that kind of money every US citizen should be allowed to own land anywhere in those countries even on the beach in their own names, be allowed free access in and out for their entire lifetimes, access to whatever healthcare schemes they have their at local prices and get preferential tax status.

The thing is the USA is more welcoming to them then they are to us. Let enough Americans live there and those countries would no longer need aid. If you want the open borders it should work both ways at the very least.
