Alcohol is a drug, yet legal and accepted, despite it being responsible for killing millions every year. Yet you tell people you smoke weed they act as if you told them you were smoking heroin, crack cocaine, etc.? I really don't get it. I mean, for all these people that are against drugs, shouldn't they also never drink any kind of alcoholic beverage as well?

And say every kind of alcohol was somehow incapable of making and no alcohol was ever possible to make, legally or illegally, and all replaced with strictly weed, would that be bad?

Addicts will always rationalize their behavior. Alcohol addicts or weed addicts it makes no difference. I don't believe drugs should be illegal due to the fact it causes more crime in addition to the use and sale of the drugs themselves. However, anyone who uses any psychoactive substance on a regular basis and then tries to claim it's not that bad is lying to themselves.

If you are willing to say, yes this is harmful to me but I still want to use it, go ahead. But all this crap about weed is not that bad because alcohol exists is just sad. Growing up I watched many teenagers turn into complete losers while saying that kind of stuff.

THC is a powerful psychoactive. A couple of beers or a glass of wine, has negligible effects on the mind.

It's a false equivalency to compare the two.

Now, if you're a complete drunkard, then yes, alcohol is way more dangerous.

I agree, but alcohol seems to have more negative effects on the body than weed does, like with cancers, heart disease, etc. over a long period of use. That seems to be the OPs point.

Of course when speaking about the acute effects on the mind there is no comparison. Especially with these 75%+ THC concentrates kids are using now. One hit of that stuff will send you to another planet. A few months/years of daily use, especially while young, and you're a zombie possibly for life. It's apples and oranges in that sense

Not defending drunks, but at least alcohol has a long human tradition that dates back to antiquity. As mentioned, it also has some health benefits in small amounts.

Wine well paired with a meal enhances the flavor of the food. It does not make you want to raid the vending machine or the snacks aisle at the convenience store.

A 6 ounce glass of wine will not make the average adult drink. Many people like the taste of wine, beer, etc. They aren’t drinking to get drunk. Intentionally getting drunk is different.

Does anyone smoke weed because they like the taste? Isn’t the sole purpose only to get high?

Beer also has some heath benefits, especially to those with kidney troubles.

both should be used only on weekends if you're going to partake in either Weed or Alcy IMO. You should be fine. If you're doing either one every day theres a problem. Limit yourself to one day a week
