Black Liberation Movement activists and the Iowa State Patrol clashed at the Capitol Thursday afternoon, resulting in a Norwalk high schooler being dragged to the ground and arrested on the first floor of the rotunda.
According to the Des Moines Black Liberation Movement Collective (DSM BLM), community members gathered at the Iowa State Capitol to protest several bills.
The protest was organized by Advocates for Social Justice, a group based in Cedar Rapids. They deemed several bills in the legislature to be "racist and dangerous."
DSM BLM reported around three dozen community members gathered inside the Capitol building on the first-floor rotunda to protest. The area is a public space, and videos posted on Twitter and Facebook show demonstrators were acting peacefully.

Protestors yelled "Black lives matter" as they walked through the doors and metal detectors with their signs. Rice's phone even goes through the metal detector during the live stream.
Chants changed from "these racist cops have got to go" to "this is what democracy looks like."

I thought Democracy was supposed to be peaceful.
Places like NYC, PTLD, MPLS and STTL seem to have redefined "peaceful".
Democracy is peaceful but as we saw happen with the riots the means towards democracy is not. Who was that reporter that said and was later parroted by his peers "who said protests were supposed to be peaceful" ? Was it Cuomo or some CNN hack?
The problem is the misguided children have been allowed to throw their temper tantrums without fear of arrests and prosecution. They can hand out beat downs of the Police, destroy public and private property, loot, burn and run the streets without fear because our elected Democrats will help them out.
This is what the Left wants for America. They want us on edge and fighting.

where are the leftists shrieking 'insurrection!!' and 'sedition!!' ?
Well, they're not trying to install their own leader. Like on Jan 6th which was, disrupt the democratic process, detain VIPs, hang mike pence, and reinstall Donald as the "true" president.

well, since trump was already the sitting president, no one tried to 'install' him either. so there goes that lame comparison.

You call that A disruption of the democratic process????
I Call your phony election staged by left-wing States run by liberal Governors who will be completely bankrupt before Biden gets out of office, I'm more realistic display of disruption did the Democrat process. Because you probably don't even know what that means.
