This course, which is to be a part of ethnic studies (in high school?) has no place at the K-12 level. The sole function of K-12 is to equip kids with the fundamental tools needed to navigate life: the three R’s, critical thinking/ reasoning, and communication. Anything else is ancillary. Kids at this level have not developed sufficient critical thinking skills to adequately tackle this material. The result will be more indoctrination.
For now, it is an optional course each school district may choose or not to add to their curriculum. Parents really need to pay attention to their child’s curriculum and choose their school districts wisely.
This will only further divide our country, and introduce more problems than it solves.
California needs more immigration to drive its booming economy. Those immigrants need to feel welcome. Especially educated immigrants coming to work in tech, and rich immigrants coming to be educated in our universities. As well as foreign investors, and tourists.
Also, more third-world peasants to fill the vacancies of the whites who are fleeing to other states. Those people also need to feel welcome. The state has an obligation to reduce obstacles to employment and housing, by promoting more tolerance/acceptance/civility.

The vast majority of the world is not white.
What does this have to do with critical race theory?
I lived for 12 years in a heavily non-white, non western country. They didn't teach CRT.

Critical Race Theory now offered as part K-12 curriculum in CA[/url]
Does not sound as if it is "offered" for a choice. It looks to be mandatory.
Promoting a race war in public school.
Germany did this with the Jews in the 1930's, which eventually led to government run genocide.

Having said that, in order to qualify as a substitute teacher here in Nebraska I had to take a class that taught much of what CRT teaches. I bit my tongue and went with it. In discussions I made my point that I have issue with being told I'm racist by virtue of my skin tone, but it is what it is.
Critical race theory a.k.a. "How to implement marxism"
CRT is part of cultural Marxism and not mainline socialist economics class based Marxism developed by Karl Marx and. Critical theory Marxism was developed from the Frankfurt school in Germany during the interwar period by the likes of herbert mercuse. Even though the capitalist class in America are agaisnt Marxism and forms of socialism like communism and nazisim. A good example is Bernie sanders getting kicked to the curb. They are nto agaisnt cultural Marxist who are not a threat to capitalist status quo. In matter of fact Marxism and cultural Marxism are incompatible due to one being agaisnt class and economics vs the cultural Marxist who fighting agaisnt sexism, racsim, genderism, homophobia etc.
While state of California teaches cultural Marxism. They sure won't teach mainline Marxism. Mainline Marxist will burn down California in an heartbeat.

I'm not sure you even understand what CRT is.

That’s laughable.
Kids are colorblind.
That’s how it should remain.
CRT teaches them to resent others by skin color.
Especially white kids.
