In a historic nomination, President Joe Biden has nominated Christine Wormuth to serve as the secretary of the Army.
If confirmed by the Senate, Wormuth -- who once served as the Pentagon's top policy official in the final years of the Obama administration -- would be the first woman to serve in the position.
The priority of the military these days is social engineering- fighting and winning wars is at best an afterthought.
I thought the priority of the Pentagon was separating us from our money. Russia has 1(one) aircraft carrier, China has 2 and we have 19. Only one of these three countries is protected by 2 very large oceans. We`re suckers.
1. What makes her qualified over Generals who are Combat Vets in multiple wars?
2. What Makes her qualified at all?
The present acting Secretary of the Army, is a former Army NCO who finished Ranger School and later got a PhD in economics from U. Chicago. The guy before him served in the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan, and the guy before him was a West Point grand and infantry officer with the 101st Airborne in the Gulf War.
Christine Wormuth is a career bureaucrat who never served in the military.
Another first. I wonder if we will ever reach a place where we don't have to point out the first of everything. I think it's pretty obvious that women have been in powerful positions before

In this position, Biden should have been able to find a woman with military experience.
