When a population gets out of control, nature always finds some way to 'correct' the 'distortion.' Covid is not going away anytime soon; on the contrary, it is only a preview for immensely worse to come.

In the beginning, there was man and nature; man was locked in a constant struggle against nature. Man has expanded like a gangrene, relentlessly devouring everything in his path; the struggle between man and nature has escalated into a vicious total war. This is most unfortunate, because it is a war nature is absolutely guaranteed to win.

All 'bubbles' must burst- that is a law as fundamental as gravity and thermodynamics. The biggest bubble of them all is the human population bubble. We have entered into the ERA of the PANDEMIC, with Covid being just the preview.

Not to mention the emergence of "superbugs" that are increasingly resistant to all available anti-biotics.

Not to mention that the human population bubble was helped created in large part by the fiat/debt monetary system propagated by the Central Banks that requires ever more people to keep the system going.

Just a glorified Ponzi scheme...

People also have discovered what they can do with a virus like this. How they can shut down so many areas of the country.

People will debate all day whether Democratic Governors made decisions to shut things down realizing the economy would suffer therefore hurting Trumps re-election chances. I'm not saying I have any proof to that but I find it hard to imagine that in their meetings on what to do a silver lining of the economy hurting Trump was no mentioned to get him out of Washington.

The (over)reaction to this virus was definitely more about pushing through nefarious agendas for sure.

You’ll never see something like this again if you’re reading this forum. This was a virus with a highly unusual rate of transmission. We may see something with a 10-20% fatality rate but that will never be able to spread much beyond its origination point and will die out quickly

You can bet this "road to recovery" will be full of new rules.

More like "gain of function" experimenting in some virus lab and then an accidental leak out into the public.

my fear is that government bureaucrats are going to be over-vigilant now and recommend mass shutdowns any time a scary new virus “could potentially” wreak havoc again. Cat’s out of the bag.

So, are you suggesting that we are starting to experience a 'Malthusian Population Check?'

Please note that when Thomas Malthus predicted that natural forces would reduce or 'check' our population growth, he did not include pestilence as a method nature would use to accomplish that. Which makes sense, if you think about it.

So perhaps this impending 'age of the pandemic' is actually artificial, or more specifically, man made.
