It's hilarious you tried to use Europe in your defense. Compare murder rates in just about every western European nation to the US.

BTW, since it seems to have escaped you, it is harder to murder someone with a knife than with a gun. Try killing someone from 50 feet away with a knife, and see how well you do. No wonder murder rates in Europe are so much lower than in the US.

No he could not have detonated that from "a mile away" and wiped out that arena. What an idiotic statement. In order to wipe out those people in that concert with anything OTHER than some guns he would have had to go into that arena himself. And no, he could not have "snuck into the stadium" earlier in the day. Imagine some guy sneaking into a venue that will be packed with people later in the day, and going around hiding strange-looking things under stands and elsewhere. Nobody's going to be able to do that unnoticed!

Good god the right-wingers here live in some sort of fantasy world.

Right, which he could have easily done. And with the right electronics he absolutely could have blown the whole arena up from a mile away. And all the stuff he would need to do it do not require any form of ID or background check to purchase. Couple of tanks of propane, some detonator cord, quick trip to radio shack for some parts and you could make an awfully big kaboom.

Or remember the unibomber. Fertilizer and a few other innocuous ingredients that can be purchased at any Home Depot.

Bad guys are gonna be bad guys

You live in a fantasy world. Some guy going into a concert venue looking like he's placing strange-looking things in strange locations is not going to go unnoticed!

Furthermore, if it was so easy to do that and he could have killed more people that way, Why didn't he DO it that way?

WHO KNOWS?

Maybe he was stuck in the decision tree of bombers vs missiles where once the button of the missile is pushed, that's it......but bombers give you a long time to think about it. Maybe he was still thinking about it.

Timothy McVeigh managed. So did the perpetrators of 9/11.

What would you change? What law, presumably focused on the gun or the buyer, would have prevented this? Do you believe that every resident of a house should be evaluated before any one within can purchase a firearm? If one gives birth to a mentally deficient child should firearms in that house be taken?
What if after all that he went next door and stole the firearms of people who passed all the checks?

Obama never did anything in office, why did you think that would be the turning point?
