Heck if somebody even offered a RELIABLE GUARANTEED FULL TIME JOB at minimum wage, I think they wouldnt lack for workers. People dont like to get jerked around and abused and thrown away, some would be happy with a dependable job for life that paid the rent on something outside the slums. Not wanting to race the rats or get rich overnight or any of that other capitalist mythology.

We are not nor will we be under socialist rule. Believe me, rich people aren't going to be parting with their money anytime soon. Please post a link that supports your assertion.

A lot of business owners are finding out that their garbage jobs, garbage wages, and garbage working conditions are easily forgotten when one alternative is introduced into the equation.

Yeah, real business owners have known this for years.

Is $15 not enough?
It's a crappy job no matter what the wage.

That's the way a lot of businesses around here operate. It's not just McDonald's. I have tried explaining it for a while. You can't usually work two part time jobs around here. The businesses expect you to live on call. And when they want to get rid of someone, they do things like change the schedule without notice and fire the person as a no show so that the person can't get unemployment benefits. Shady.

The unemployed MC'D workers were making a killing when unemployment stimulus was paying $600 a week.

If they were lucky and the unemployment office actually processed their claims. A lot of people who filed last year still have not received a cent.

Florida's unemployment rate is 4.7%. Average apartment rent in the Tampa area is $1800/month

Perhaps McDonald's isn't paying market rate for employees, so the employees choose to work elsewhere. Target is paying $15/hr.
