Following mass shootings in Boulder, Colorado and Atlanta, Georgia, there's a new push to pass stricter gun laws in Washington.

But at America's biggest gun maker, Smith & Wesson in Springfield, business has never been better.
In the latest quarter, the company sold more than 600,000 guns and accessories — a quarter of a billion dollars worth of weapons. That represents a doubling of sales from a year ago, the company's third consecutive record-breaking quarter.

Some of the demand appears to be fueled by fear that customers won't be able to buy weapons later if President Biden and Congress agree to limit gun sales.

Gun control will not work in the good old U.S. of A.

This story is true for every gun and ammo manufacturer!

So the more guns, the more peace for society? Do you think the armed mentally ill who want to try to get back at society will care or be deterred? No doubt, many of them have an insane death wish, but only after taking the lives of others.

I am relieved to learn that - at least for now - every nut job in the country with a pea sized brain, rage in their soul and mass murder in their hearts will be able to go about carrying on their usual activities just as the Founding Fathers wished.

Plus, Smith and Wesson and every other arms dealer in the US will continue to make a profit from the mass slaughter of Fed Ex employees, grocery store shoppers, and first grade children to name but a few. Only in America are citizens delighted that corporations can make beaucoup bucks off the slaughter of innocents.

I think Smith and Wesson should get honest for once and put out a bounty on the heads of every 5 year-old who attends either a private or public school outside their homes. Let's all stop kidding around, shall we?

So far in 2021, 12,619 deaths in the US have been attributed to gun violence. 88 of these deaths were those of children under the age of 11.

Smith and Wesson's Quarterly GAAP net income was a record $62.3 million, or $1.12 per diluted share, compared with $4.2 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, for the comparable quarter last year.

Quote:
Deana McPherson, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Smith and Wesson, commented, "Smith & Wesson's record-breaking financial performance enabled us to generate $60 million of cash from operations during the quarter. This allowed us to complete a $50 million dollar share-repurchase program, pay our second quarter dividend, and continue to invest in capital, all while growing our cash on hand by $4.1 million during the quarter. I am pleased to announce that our Board has authorized a new $100 million dollar share repurchase program and a $0.05 per share dividend to stockholders of record as of March 17, 2021, with payment to be made on March 31, 2021."
Way to go, Deanna! Your company has generated $4,755.00 per gun death so far in 2021 and we still have three more quarters to go! The sky's the limit or maybe the size of the graveyards is.

It's not the numbers, it's you're weak foundation.

Leftists: The war on drugs, controlling drugs, will never be won. You can’t control something that 160 million people want.

Also leftists: The war on guns, controlling guns, can be won. You can control something that 160 million people want.

What doesn't trigger massive gun sales, if its not the NRA stoking fears its some unknown boogie man because that party got elected...
