Democratic Louisianna up 54% in one year!
Democratic Kentucky up 50% in one year!
I must inform you that my home state of Kentucky is NOT Democrat. As most people know, the Kentucky state economy is heavily dependent on coal mining and Trump carried the state by a 25.9% margin in the 2020 election. Kentucky somehow voted in a Democrat for its Governor, but the Kentucky House is 75% republican and only 25% Democrat while the Kentucky Senate is 30 Republicans and 8 Democrats. And then there's republican Senator Mitch McConnell who was the US Senate majority leader for the past 4 years and won re-election again this time around. You do know about him, right?

Louisiana also has a sort of a unicorn Democrat for its Governor, but he too is lost in a sea of Red. If Louisiana’s decision to reelect a Democratic governor last year made anyone forget about the state’s political bent, the latest presidential and congressional elections provided a definitive reminder that Louisiana remains strongly conservative and deeply red, particularly in federal races.

President Donald Trump solidly won the state, Republican congressional incumbents easily won reelection, an anti-abortion amendment received overwhelming support.

Republicans RULE in both these states and their Governors cannot do much more than sputter the occasional slogan and on rare occasions at that.

If you wish to blame a state's drug woes on either political party, the republicans who run both these Southern states plead guilty as charged.

South Dakota is certainly full of something, but the CD rules won't let me post what it is. N. Dakota's population is so small that a difference of 5 deaths over the course of an entire year is enough to slew the data in a PREDICTED downward direction of 5%. Big whoop.

You can do better than posting such misleading "information." I'm sure of it.

People are dropping dead like flies in the "red"state of West Virginia from drug overdose.

There are some serious demons at work in America- mass shootings, rampant drug use and overdose deaths... This red vs blue, liberal vs conservative, Democrat vs Republican way of thinking, doesn't help anything.

Millions of people in California use drugs. Your logic is almost too painful to even try to follow....

San Francisco had double the amount of OD deaths than they had covid deaths last year and 80% of Covid deaths included comorbidities.

Yes....as we all know...just having a D or R gov is the sole explanation for drug OD increases. As we all know, the increase in drug ODs from 2000 to 2020 has nothing to do with the proliferation of painkillers and Fentalyn pushed by big pharma but by the political orientation of governors. Genius stuff

HOW BAD does it need to get, before people recognize they are not working for our health or safety...(but instead, protecting and shielding foreign criminal organizations who supply all these drugs).

Thanks to the DEA, the drug cartels now weigh their cash in dump trucks instead of counting it. LOL
You forgot the IRS. Literally a collection of 100,000 of the most incompetent beings on Earth.
