Dolezal didn't wish herself black. She committed fraud for personal gain. Surely your not suggesting transgender people are trying to make themselves outliers for personal gain. If you've ever been the odd one out I think you'd understand that is not a comfortable place to be. No one puts themselves there without good reason.
I don't think the transgender issue is as simple as wishing yourself different sex. From what I understand they are differentiating between gender and sex. I don't know what it's like because my self image of my gender matches my sex. My sacred cow is autonomy so if someone tells me this is who they are then I am all for someone being true to themselves. Aside from problems with who can play sports what sports I don't see how they are infringing on anyone else. I say we leave these people be and allow them to live their lives and not abuse them simply because we don't understand.

Agree 100%, but the Archie Bunkers will say it infringes on them to HAVE to address these people (on the rare occasions their paths might possibly cross) using the method of address of the gender the person prefers.
So, an award was stripped from a man(Dawkins) that doesn't think what the Nazi's did, was evil, by an agency that doesn't believe in objective morality, for him(Dawkins) saying things about trans people, that they(the humanist agency) don't think are morally 'right'?
Sounds like par for the course for people that believe in a worldview, rooted in absurdity.
