There was no weaker law enforcement than the resource officer who hid outside while the kids in school were being shot to death!
Big talkers those sheriffs in Florida but no substance or courage behind their rhetoric. To blame "blue states" (which all have lower crime rates than Florida) for their incompetence is just another act of cowardice.
And the man-child governor is standing beside him smiling as they deliver their "middle-school" mentality message.
I agree he was a coward, but most are not. He was charged with a list of things. I can see both sides of it. It looks like the Sherriff will defend him, and I understand his reasoning. However, that doesn't make this guy less a coward. If there was good reasoning for him not to engage then maybe.
It is not good for him to say that people votes are stupid. Yes he used the word stupid. It is not appropriate and offensive. What if I were to yell from the crowd that he is stupid, that his deputies are stupid, that anyone who graduates from Florida public schools are most likely stupid. It just is not the right way to address the public.
He said "don't be stupid and vote for those who made the mess you are running from". Sounds like good advice. If you move to a different area of the country to get away from the laws and regulations of the people YOU VOTED for, why would you vote for the same kind of people in the new place? Go ahead and yell those things. There are plenty of people already doing it what is one more? Free speech.
Love this. As a soon to be former Kommiefornian I am absolutely leaving everything about this insane asylum firmly behind me. From my Pre-move research he’s not wrong. Many California people are universally hated because we came from here. Of course, in my case I am fleeing because my ideals and California’s don’t even remotely line up.
As a native Nevadan who has seen transplanted Californians utterly ruin my home I will offer a piece of advice. Remember why you left CA. Oh, I've heard all sorts of these transplants say they had to get out of CA because of all the BS, but attempt after arriving here to bring things from there with them. Don'yt know how many times I've heard "had to get out of CA", only to hear "WE didn't do it that way in CA," as a closing statement. The universal answer to that, which is on bumper stickers signs and even bill boards is "We don't care how you did it in CA."
Governor Sisolini and all his Las Vegas leftist cronies in the legislature seem to being doing a bang up job of Californicating us here in the North. Northern and Southern NV are polar opposites. Vegas is over run with transplanted CA types who ALL vote blue. Line item. They are the only reason NV is a blue state. Here in the North we would be giddy to give Las Vegas to California. Sure, we'll take all the CA Northern rural counties like Shasta, Modoc, Sierra, Lassen, Alpine etc and CA can have Vegas. Seems like a good trade to me.
Anyway, like I said, just remember WHY you left CA and don't bring a single thing they do there with you and you'll be fine. It still may take a spell for folks to warm up to you depending on where you go. Just don't try to change folks and the way they do thing whither you goest. You are movin there because YOU want to have change. So the old adage of "When in Rome" applies. Good luck to ya. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Many are running from crappy winter weather as the most important reason. The weather cares neither for Dems or GOP.

Not at all. The sheriff clearly advised new residents not to vote for the same blue-state political lunacy that they are escaping from.
