And? You actually think that their threats didn't factor in at all? Especially since they'd laid a groundwork of burning looting and murdering for almost a year now? lol, sure. Their threats were probably front and center in the minds of the jurists.

What threats and intimidation? Jury tampering and obstruction of justice are crimes. Who are you accusing of threatening jurors?

You must think the jurors are unbelievably stupid!! They saw Maxine Waters. They saw Joe Biden. They knew that there was only one choice: Convict on all charges and maybe, just maybe, the mob wouldn't come to their homes, burn them down, or possibly kill them.

Maxine Waters said that if there wasn't a guilty verdict, then BLM needed to get out and be more confrontational. More compared to what? Last years riots that killed 50+ people, did well over $2 billion in property damage, crippled the police in ever city in the United States, and by their demands to disband or defund the police, they caused the most massive increase in homicides and violent crimes in decades.

Maxine Waters was saying, "That wasn't good enough. You need to be way, way, way more destructive." Even if there was zero chance that the terrorist mob can get you, do you want all that violence, destruction and death on your conscience?? All you had to do was find Chauvin guilty on all charges.

Wanna know the clearest evidence that the jury was massively tainted?? They convicted on all charges, even the ones that didn't make any sense.

Where have you been that you haven't seen the threats to the cities (which includes the people in them) by blm, antifa, maxine, etc.?

I don't recall any mobs going to people homes, burning them down and murdering them. I know some people looted and burned businesses, which I totally disagree with. I believe the jury was sequestered when Waters and Biden made their statements, but I may be wrong.

The amount of time of restraint is somewhat irrelevant. What matters is whether the restraint was reasonable or permissible based on the circumstances, and whether the restraint is what killed Floyd.

The restraint did contribute to Floyd's death. And while I think the restraint was excessive, at least beyond the first few minutes, and especially after Floyd became unresponsive, I'm struggling to understand why it would be murder. And how it can be second-degree and third-degree murder, and manslaughter all at the same time.

I kind of wish Chauvin would have testified then we could have heard an actual explanation. Although I think it was probably smarter he didn't.

I would love for you to put in your own words why you think it was second-degree murder, instead of quoting some website.

Oh berdee. That's exactly how it works. Appellate courts don't sentence defendants. They either overturn a conviction and remand to the trial court, or they affirm. If the conviction were overturned, Chauvin and the prosecutor might work out a plea deal. But Chauvin is going to prison for the foreseeable future.

I don’t think the jury was sequestered when Maxine Waters made her statements, but fairly certain they were sequestered when Joe Biden announced that he was “praying” for the “right” verdict.
