If Kim Potter gets off, it will set a dangerous precedent. I would expect to see more of these "accidental" killings in the future. That will be a tactic for bad cops. If they want to kill, just make it look like an accident and they're good to go.

Well, if you’re hoping they’re going to throw the book at her just because the mob decided they wanted to be outraged, I doubt that’s going to happen. She’ll get a fair trial. Plus she’s going to be tried outside Hennepin County.

What about a dangerous precedent of getting off completely for intentional killing of an unarmed female?

Give me a break. There are not bad cops looking for a loophole to kill people. I know a lot of police officers and I don't think there are any out there at this point in time that want to be faced with a possible murder charge for shooting a person who ends up dying. That is not reality at all.
If a civilian "accidentally" killed someone they would be charged with murder. A cop should get the same punishment.
No they would not be. They likely would be charged with negligent homicide, the key to conviction including the fact the action was not intended. Potter has been overcharged, which will likely result in either an acquittal via trial, or if convicted, an appeal overturning a conviction. The charge against her requires intent.
In her case, her taped reactions, much like the Floyd tape, will play a key role..but to clear her, based on how she reacted to grabbing the incorrect weapon.
The DA messed up, overcharging her simply to pacify the anti LEO woke folks.
