Thanks Biden voters. Democrats are back to business as usual despite all these promises of leading a centrist administration. I don't smoke much but when I do I certainly don't want an ultra light. Might be time to hoard or grow full strength tobacco.

So cancer rates will rise because people will smoke more to get the same level nicotine previously achieved with fewer cigarettes. Of course a black market will also arise for those who insist on the real deal.
Never let it be said the people who write policy aren't geniuses.

What problem could this possibly solve?

I would think many would just switch to vaping, if they have not already done so.

I see more and more young people smoking, especially girls who think that smoking will keep them thin.

Those gruesome TV ads featuring dying smokers don't have any effect on young people. They have a good laugh at them. What will curtail smoking is a stiff cigarette tax but those mealy mouthed politicians would never vote in such a tax. Might lose them some votes.

Well that or just quit.

I used to dip. Man that can of Skoal had my number. I started at 13 on the farm. Everyone either chewed or dipped. I went into the service at 18 in 1982 and quit cold turkey. Then in 1994 a friend left a can of Cope on the dash of my truck. One dip and I was buying a fresh can. Fast forward to 2017. Quitting wasn't so easy this time. Moving to a country where it wasn't available iced that cake.

My point is, quitting the habit although a challenge is still the better option. I used those nicotine lozenges. I am convinced that they make them taste good so that you get hooked on those instead. LOL

As someone who smokes menthol cigarettes, I've got some knowledge on the history of this topic.

IIRC, it was under Obama that flavored cigarettes were outlawed, ostensibly because they're only attractive to children, and adults don't like flavors, or something.

An exception was carved out for menthol cigarettes, because they're popular with black people. There were literally black lobbying groups working to get that exception, and they were successful. I was watching that closely, again because I smoke them and had a personal interest.

This action by Biden should be classified as a racist action, based on the rules the Left has laid down. He's specifically reneging on a promise made by Democrats to the black community and removing a concession which had already been made.

Excerpt: Biden weighs in on banning menthol cigarettes, reducing nicotine content

Response: Opinion

( This is when the Democratic Race Card turn on them! )

Since I can remember , minorities have always smoked Menthol.

So what Biden is doing is ................ahem...............Racist!
